Monsignor Maher passes away

The Catholic Diocese of the Rio Grande Valley is reporting that Monsignor Robert Maher, Vicar of the diocese and pastor of St. Joseph parish in Edinburg passed away Wednesday night.
He was 67. Msgr. Maher was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Brownsville in 1971. He was the pastor of St. Joseph church for 17 years.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
