Agents rescue man found on highway

FALFURRIAS — U.S. Border Patrol agents said they helped an injured man northwest of Hebbronville late Thursday night.
A motorist flagged down four agents traveling together along Highway 359 near Oilton about 10 p.m. Thursday, officials said in a statement.
The man told the agents he saw what appeared to be a body on the roadway. The victim appeared to have serious injuries to his upper body and had difficulty staying conscious, agents said.
Webb County emergency officials responded to the scene and took him to a hospital in Laredo before he was transferred to a San Antonio hospital.
The man's identity and condition remain unknown.
