San Benito, McAllen to receive supplies from Feed the Children
SAN BENITO - Residents will get some relief from Feed the Children on Monday when a truckload of supplies, including food and hygiene boxes, cleaning supplies, snack foods, bottled water, duffle bags and sleeping bags, will be delivered to the Seventh Day Adventist Group located on Stenger Street.
Two other truckloads of supplies are scheduled to be delivered today to the Salvation Army's Disaster Services Warehouse in McAllen.
"Many Texans are experiencing difficult times due to Hurricane Dolly's devastation," said Larry Jones, president and founder of Feed The Children. "For more than 29 years, Feed The Children has provided help and hope to victims of natural disasters. We want to help as much as we can to ensure these victims receive the supplies they need. We send our prayers as well as our support in this time of need."
