ARLINGTON — A high school football player died and three other students, including two teammates, were shot during a party early Saturday, police said.
Quintarick Wilson, 18, died just after midnight Saturday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s Web site.
Arlington police Lt. Blake Miller said that after being called to the home, police found four people who had been shot. Miller said the shooting victims were all male and appeared to be high school students between the ages of 16 and 18.
Wilson was taken to Medical Center of Arlington, where he later died. The other three who were shot were taken to a Dallas hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Miller said. At least one has already been released.
Miller said that there was a combination homecoming and birthday party going on in the backyard of a home when some uninvited guests showed up and an argument ensued.
“We still have suspects on the loose,” Miller said.
Linda Brown, who’s son was celebrating his 18th birthday, told The Dallas Morning News that Wilson and two of the shooting victims are members of the Arlington Sam Houston football team. The fourth shooting victim is a student at the school, she said.
