Another dense fog advisory in effect this morning

For the second day in a row, the National Weather Service office in Brownsville has issued a dense fog advisory for this morning.

This time, the advisory includes all of the four counties in the Rio Grande Valley, which include Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy counties.

The advisory remain in effect until 9 a.m.

The NWS reports the fog is expected to persist and will intensify through the early morning hours.

Visibilities below a quarter of a mile or less are expected through the mid morning.

The NWS advises that motorists slow down while driving. In addition, they are encouraged to use the low beam headlights on their vehicles.

Motorists should also allow additional time for their morning commute.
