STARR - The body of a 23-year-old man was found riddled with bullets on his family's remote ranch Friday morning.

A relative discovered Leonel Cazares III about 10 a.m. next to his car at a ranch along Expressway 83, near Falcon Heights, said Starr County sheriff's Lt. Larry Fuentes.

Police are now searching for one person of interest in the case but have not released a description of the suspect, Fuentes said.

Authorities are also trying to establish a motive for the apparent slaying of Cazares, who had a conviction record for burglary of a habitation and marijuana possession.
