Almost every AEP Texas customer who lost electric service during Hurricane Dolly has had power restored to them, the company said.

According to a press release, 2,194 remained without power as of 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

AEP customers who remain without electricity are asked to call 866-223-8508.

Customers without electric service are as follows:

Brownsville/Port Isabel   1,022 (includes South Padre Island)

Los Fresnos  0

Edinburg   8

Harlingen/La Feria   927

McAllen   2

Mission   0

Pharr   23

San Benito   155

Weslaco 57

AEP reminds customers that tree crews clear the right-of-way of trees and brush to allow repair workers to restore power. AEP does not remove cut trees. Property owners are responsible for brush removal.
