Electric service restored to 99 percent of Rio Grande Valley
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Almost every AEP Texas customer who lost electric service during Hurricane Dolly has had power restored to them, the company said.
According to a press release, 2,194 remained without power as of 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
AEP customers who remain without electricity are asked to call 866-223-8508.
Customers without electric service are as follows:
Brownsville/Port Isabel 1,022 (includes South Padre Island)
Los Fresnos 0
Edinburg 8
Harlingen/La Feria 927
McAllen 2
Mission 0
Pharr 23
San Benito 155
Weslaco 57
AEP reminds customers that tree crews clear the right-of-way of trees and brush to allow repair workers to restore power. AEP does not remove cut trees. Property owners are responsible for brush removal.
