Teen pleads guilty in death of car salesman
ROCKVILLE, Md. — A Potomac teenager has pleaded guilty in the death of a 57-year-old car salesman last year. Emily Geller, now 18, pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree murder in Montgomery County Circuit Court. Prosecutors say Geller met Ali Zare when he offered her a ride several days before he was killed and she had sex with him in her basement for $60. They say Geller later used sex to lure Zare down a darkened path near Bells Mill Elementary School in Potomac where Artie Ellis, her boyfriend at the time, hit him in the head with a shovel. Geller faces up to 25 years in prison as part of a plea agreement. Ellis, now 16, reached a similar deal. Their attorneys say neither intended to kill him.
