Woman charged after allegedly stabbing husband repeatedly
Comments 0 | Recommend 0BROWNSVILLE - A woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she repeatedly stabbed her husband, authorities reported.
Claudia Bejaran 32 was issued a protective order keeping her away from her husband and a $10,000 bond, said police spokesman Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique.
The husband was cut in various places, including the hands and mouth, police said.
The attack took place midnight Saturday at the couple's residence at 2692 Vienna St. after they returned from a party.
"Apparently they began to argue and he refused to continue arguing and she got a kitchen knife and went after him," Manrrique said. "He was cut between the thumb and index finger of the left hand, on the back of the left palm; he had a cut on the left side of the mouth. He was also struck on the back of the head with an unknown object."
The victim drove to his parents' home in San Benito where they noticed the injuries and encouraged him to seek help and drove him to Valley Baptist medical Center in Harlingen.
