Comments 0 | Recommend 0BROWNSVILLE - The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College has announced the creation of the U.S. Small Business Administration International Trade Center at the university's ITEC Center.
The center, at 301 Mexico Boulevard, will be a one-stop trade information hub where businesses with international clientele can access services, including market research, databases, tradeshows, trade education, export trade finance sources and group trade missions.
In addition, the trade center will offer temporary office space for rent and a conference room with interactive distance communications equipment for international meetings.
"We're trying to get local exporters trained to go into a foreign country and increase sales," said Abraham Greenspan, Program Director of the UTB-TSC International Trade Center. "There is a feeling that if you sell more, you can create more jobs."
The newly formed trade center will be offering a free annual introductory membership through Nov. 1.
