Three killed in Pharr wreck

PHARR - Three people were confirmed dead in an early morning wreck near the interchange of Expressway 83 and U.S. 281.

The wreck involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck happened just after 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Cage Blvd., said Pharr Police Department spokesman Lt. Guadalupe Salinas. Authorities were trying to determine what caused the accident.

The names of the victims were not available pending notification of family.
