Too many children born into poverty

To the editor:
Timothy Geithner said something on Fox News Sunday, while discussing the current debt mess that our country is facing, which sounded pretty scary.
As his defense on why cuts can’t be made to social programs, he stated that 40 percent of all children born in America today are born to families who qualify for Medicaid.
Could this simple fact be at the very　core of our problem? We, as a nation, must stop this madness!
