Community Forum: Clintons have some alternative life paths
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Editor:
Here are some constructive suggestions for the Clintons, Hillary and Bill.
Hillary, you would make a fine U.S. Supreme Court justice; there, you could try to guarantee women's and children's rights.
You could also, back in the Senate, take the lead in defending those rights, while also advocating a national health care system.
Bill, why not try to improve the United States' Asian relations as an ambassador to New Zealand? And, by all means, Clintons, stay away from the White House, unless invited!
You have several decades left to help the United States. Swallow your egos and get busy.

Let's remember to help our neighbors
Editor:
I was very proud when I saw my friend, Fred Montano, doing a good deed. As a community, we should stand together and, when we see a neighbor in need and we can help, why not do so?
Fred stepped up and helped. When we see one another going through difficulties, we should do like Fred and just do the right thing.
The lady and her family were living in a car. They were going to a restaurant to wash in the morning after what must have been a very difficult night sleeping in a van. Several children and the mother were having a humiliating time in the United States, land of milk and honey. Sometimes, we do not realize how charity should begin at home.
We need to be very careful during the upcoming presidential election. When you listen to the promises, please be aware that, during election time, promises are tossed around like greeting cards at Christmas time.
When someone says they can stop the war in a few months, look past the hoopla into the reality. How do you stop a war once it has commenced? It has to stop gradually.
Imagine the delight of the insurgents upon knowing that the United States will start withdrawing troops. Is it possible that they will mount a great offensive? What about the citizens who have been on the United States' side? What do you think will happen to them?
When will the rebuilding of Iraq take place? There are many questions to ponder.
We need to listen to who makes more sense and who will lead us out of the slump the economy has sunk into. Quick fixes are the first indication of a void promise.
Again, let us all do like Fred Montano when one of our neighbors is in trouble. Let us give back to a country that has given us so much.
