HARLINGEN — Brownsville Hanna was held to just one goal Friday night, fortunately for the Lady Golden Eagles it was enough to fight off a tough Lady Cardinals team had a multitude of chances to win.
“It was an intense and physical game, and emotions were running high in all parts of the field. Luckily our girls were able to put one in,” said Brownsville Hanna head coach Jose Morales. “We were fortunate because we’ve been struggling. They out shot us in the first half, we were able to dominate, but we weren’t able to take shots.
“Right now we’re fighting for third and fourth place, but we have a lot of games to go. Every game is a surprise and today we expected a close game.”
