LA FERIA — Jaime Sandoval is moving on up. He was named city manager for the city of La Feria at Tuesday’s regular city meeting.
“I’m going to hit the ground running,” Sandoval said. “The commission wants me to start doing some things there that is going to take La Feria in a different direction.”
Sandoval, 55, was one of 26 applicants who applied to be the next city manager.
He is leaving his post as assistant city manager for the city of Mercedes, a position he held for two years. Prior to that Sandoval worked for the city of Alamo as a community planning and development director.
