Seeking volunteers

VALLEY — The Valley SCORE Chapter offers free and confidential advice to small businesses, either at the startup stage or already in operation.

Currently, the Chapter is seeking more volunteer counselors with business experience to help local small businesses.

Both working and retired executives and business owners may donate time and expertise as business counselors.

SCORE, “Counselors to America’s Small Businesses,” is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses start and grow.

SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and has more than 300 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with more than 10,000 volunteers nationwide.

Whether retired or still working, if you can spare some time to help, you will be offered challenging and satisfying assignments that utilize your skills.

Winter Texans who can participate in this program only part of the year also are welcome.
