Man wanted for kicking woman, stealing purse at H-E-B

HARLINGEN — Police are searching for a man they say assaulted a woman and is involved in several thefts.

On April 3, at 4:31 a.m. officers responded to the 600 block of W. Pierce St. in reference to a disturbance.

The victim told them a man identified as Harlingen resident Cesar Tienda, 25, entered her home through a window and kicked her repeatedly until she lost consciousness.

Police say a few days later on April 9 Tienda stole a woman’s purse from her HEB shopping cart and then ran out of the store.

Harlingen police have two active warrants for Tienda, one for burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit other felonies and a class A misdemeanor for theft.
