The uncle of a Donna teen who had been missing since early last week is in custody after a multi-agency car chase ended Tuesday morning.

The chase ended in an area north of Houston when he slammed his vehicle into a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper’s unit, Montgomery County Sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scott Spencer said.

Spencer said no injuries were reported after 41-year-old Rudolfo Nuncio Jr., of Donna, rammed his vehicle into both a U.S. Marshals’ vehicle, during the initial attempt to detain him, and the DPS vehicle just before the pursuit ended.

Nuncio fled after U.S. Marshals attempted to take him into custody at an unknown location early Tuesday morning and took law enforcement officials on a three-county chase that ended before noon, Spencer said.

“During the pursuit Nuncio evaded spikes and veered off the roadway to escape law enforcement officials,” the sheriff’s spokesman said.

Priscilla Elisabel Martinez was reported missing nearly a week ago when she was last in her bedroom at her father’s home in rural Donna, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s officials said.

According to KRGV-TV reports citing family members, Nuncio had been sending text messages to the 13-year-old girl, encouraging her to runaway.
