HARLINGEN — Christina Sanchez is ready to make, sell and deliver as many large pizzas as she can today to help with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
“Domino’s just wants to give back,” said Sanchez, a Harlingen Domino’s Pizza assistant manager.
The Domino’s stores in the Harlingen-McAllen area will donate $2 for every large pizza sold today.
All the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross disaster fund to aid Hurricane Harvey victims.
“This is awesome,” Sanchez said. “It’s the right thing to do for Texas. It’s what we do, we come together.”
Domino’s stores throughout the Valley are ready for their Hurricane Harvey fundraiser.
Yesterday, the area Domino’s locations were rolling in the pizza dough to prepare for today’s big sale for Harvey relief.
And with the recent re-vamp of the area Domino’s, pizza lovers can now dine in and enjoy their large pizza today to help hurricane victims.
“We are a little small, but we are just as nice,” Sanchez said about the Domino’s Pizza she manages in Harlingen, located off the frontage road. “We have everything covered.”
Every large pizza sold across more than 270 Domino’s stores in Texas will help raise funds for the American Red Cross in support of its Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
“The entire Domino’s team is heartbroken by the devastation Hurricane Harvey brought to our neighbors to the north,” said Fernando Salido, a Domino’s franchise owner with stores in Laredo and McAllen.
According to a Dominos Pizza press release, Domino’s stores in South Texas unaffected by the floods have been donating thousands of pizzas to shelters, first responders and others in the impacted regions.
“We are grateful to have an opportunity to raise funds to support the American Red Cross as they work diligently to improve the dire situation along the Gulf Coast in the coming days, weeks and months,” Salido said.
