HARLINGEN — Overwhelmed taking care of someone else to the point where you have neglected your own physical, mental and emotional wellbeing?

Ginny Funk, the director of Programs and Advocacy, Alzheimer’s Association of San Antonio and South Texas, will be the guest speaker at a free caregiver stress discussion.

There also will be a discussion of the 10 symptoms of caregiver stress as well as the 10 ways to be a healthy caregiver.

Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disease that causes problems with memory, reasoning, behavior and motor skills. Symptoms slowly worsen over time and the disease is ultimately fatal.
