Letter: DACA Question

To the Editor:

Valley Morning Star, Sunday, Oct. 22, has an article “Medical students in limbo as young immigrant program ends” written by Sophia Tareen, AP.

This story is about a young lady, age 26, who was brought to the U.S.A. illegally by her parents when she was age 14.

She is among the hundreds of thousands who are complaining about and protesting the end of the DACA program.

However, apparently, she has been living in the U.S.A. for 12 years, and apparently, she has not shown any interest, nor made any applications, to become a U.S. Citizen.

If she wants to become a professional in the medical field she should be willing to also become a Citizen of the U.S.A., the country that she wants to work in and earn a very good salary for her skills as a medical professional.

Why?
