Members of the San Benito High School Marching Band participated in an intensive and fastpaced summer camp under the leadership of the school district’s Director of Bands Dayri Mendoza and the band program staff.

Continuing their awardwinning traditions, the marching band practiced routines that will mark the musical tone for events such as football Fridays, Pigskin Jubilee, and local parades. Select band members will also participate in various concerts and clinics and compete in University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight-Reading Contests throughout the year.

Marching band rehearsals are scheduled to continue daily, Monday through Friday, leading up to the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 27.

The marching band’s yearly summer showcase is slated for Thursday, August 23, at 7 p.m. at Bobby Morrow Stadium. The community is invited to attend this free event that will highlight the dedication, hard work, and many talents of the award-winning Greyhound marching band.
