District and campus administrators attended a “Creating a Culture for Rigorous Digital Learning” training session led by International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) representative Mark White.

The district’s Board-approved partnership with ICLE will help provide assistance in making best practices and innovative approaches to instruction and leadership a reality in local classrooms.

District and campus leaders recently attended a three-day administrative leadership retreat at San Benito Veterans Memorial Academy.

Leaders reviewed administrative procedures and participated in informative sessions in preparation for the new school year. They heard from various speakers, including MarkWhite of the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) and attorneys with the law offices of O’Hanlon, Demerath, and Castillo.

Additionally, key district leaders presented sessions related to human resources, purchasing, curriculum and instruction, and other sessions in preparation for 2018-2019. Additional retreat sessions encompassed topics related to financial processes and procedures, student achievement and attendance, instructional practices and lesson planning, and testing schedules.
