Cosmetology students to offer free haircuts for government employees

Special to the Star

San Benito CISD Cosmetology Program students, under the leadership of licensed instructor Susan Lopez, visited with CBS 4 Valley News anchor Samantha Mesa for a recent “4 the Community” segment. The topic of discussion was the upcoming availability of free haircuts for the federal government employees and their families.

The complimentary haircuts for federal employees having been affected by the government shutdown will be available Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Government employees will need to present a government ID to receive the free service – haircuts for men, women, and children.
