Jennifer Lopez’s June 22 concert at Bert Ogden Arena was announced Wednesday, and fans could already purchase tickets from nearly $300 to upwards of $900 on third-party ticket sites. The only problem is, no tickets are officially on sale for her “It’s My Party: The Live Celebration” Tour, and customers are gambling on sellers actually coming through with useable passes, a representative from the venue said.
“Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous people who will always be willing to take advantage of other people,” said Bert Ogden Director of Marketing Shalimar Madrigal. “If you do not purchase your tickets directly from BertOgdenArena.com or AXS.com, we don’t know for sure if your tickets will be legit.”
Barcodes on tickets purchased from third-party vendors may not scan, which has happened before, she said.
“We’re still on standby to get that official date, and we’re waiting on details,” she said about tickets going on sale.
The event isn’t even on their website yet, as official promo materials have not been released.
An official on-sale date, ticket prices and more details will be revealed at a future press conference when the venue has the info, Madrigal said.
