Strong winds to stay around all day

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a wind advisory that is in effect from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. for Cameron and Willacy counties.

Forecasters say the winds will be blowing from the southeast at 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph.

Be extremely careful driving on the highway, especially if you’re traveling from east to west, in particular the expressway from Harlingen to the Upper Valley.

Drivers of high profile vehicles like RVs and tractor trailers are also advised to be extra cautious.
