Cameron County, Harlingen handing out sandbags to residents

Residents living in Cameron County can pick up sandbags at the following locations:

County Precinct 4 Warehouse — 26623 White Ranch Road (2 pm – 7 pm)

Primera City Hall — 22893 N. Stuart Place Road

Palm Valley – In front of Harlingen Country Club, 5500 El Camino Real

La Feria Sports Complex across the La Feria Dome, 1001 Pancho Maples Drive

Combes ASI Warehouse, 21559 Business 77

Santa Rosa Public Works

The City of Harlingen is giving out sandbags beginning at 8 a.m. to all residents and businesses.

The sandbags are being distributed at the Public Works Facility located at 404 South 54th Street.

The bags are already filled, so residents will only need to show their ID verifying they live in Harlingen and a water bill.

Residents will be allowed six bags and businesses 12. If necessary the city says it will open other sandbag distribution locations.
