MCALLEN — The McAllen police department announced today the arrest of Jacob Edward Lopez.
The McAllen Municipal Court had issued an arrest warrant for Lopez, 17, on Monday after he reportedly assaulted two individuals.
According to a news release, McAllen police responded to the 2100 Block of W. Sprague Road on Sunday at approximately 4 a.m.
Police officers learned a weapon was discharged during an argument and two people were injured. They were transported to a local area hospital where they were treated and released. It is reported that all parties involved are known to each other.
Lopez was arrested on Tuesday and arraigned on Wednesday on two charges of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $80,000 for each charge.
