Harlingen to host additional food distributions this month

The City of Harlingen and Food Bank RGV will distribute free food to area residents on Wednesday and again next week.

The dates are June 10 and June 17 and will be held at the Harlingen Soccer Complex. So far the city has held half a dozen food distributions to help residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

So far more than 65,000 pounds of food and has been given to more than 8,000 people

The food distributions will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Harlingen Soccer Complex located at 4515 E. Harrison. As before, they will be drive-thru only and people will not be allowed to get off their vehicles.
