Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge reopened

After being shutdown for at least six hours, the Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge reopened shortly before 4:30 a.m. this morning.

The bridge was closed last night after an apparent bomb threat was made.

South Padre Island officials sent out a message to its residents shortly before 4:30 a.m. informing them that the inspection was complete and the bridge reopened.
